Changes to Supplementary File Submissions in June 2025

Changes to Supplementary File Submissions in June 2025. 2025 May-Jun;(464):e2.

May 06, 2025 [posted]

Starting in June 2025, the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) will make changes to the Supplementary File submissions processes for beta-lactamase sequences, PacBio methylation data, and Bionano maps. Beta-lactamase sequences should now be submitted through NCBI’s Pathogen Detection resource using the procedure described here and PacBio methylation data should be submitted to GEO. Though NCBI will no longer accept Bionano map submissions, Bionano maps can still be submitted to the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC), of which NCBI is a member, through the European Molecular Biology Laboratory-European Bioinformatics Institute  (EMBL-EBI). Previously processed supplementary file data are not affected by these changes and remain available at NCBI. Other data submission workflows in Submission Portal are not affected by this change.
