[Editor's note added]
[Editor's note added June 4, 2010: These changes were implemented in PubMed on June 3, 2010.]
The Send to E-mail Abstract format will soon be modified to allow users to include or exclude the MeSH and Other Data associated with a PubMed citation, e.g., MeSH, and Publication Types. A MeSH and Other Data checkbox will display when Abstract Format is selected from the Send to E-mail menu (see Figure 1).
The MeSH and Other Data checkbox will display as unchecked, therefore the default E-mail Abstract format will not include these data. Users should click the checkbox to include MeSH and Other Data. The E-mail Abstract (text) format will remain unchanged, that is, without MeSH and Other Data.
[Editor's note added June 9, 2010: My NCBI automatic e-mail updates in Abstract format no longer include MeSH and Other Data associated with a PubMed citation.]
